Wingspan February 2011

February 10, 2011

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,

and with all your mind.”  This is the greatest and first commandment. And a

second is like it:  “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

February 2011 Colossians Ch. 3,V. 16

Message from The Head Of School

Our 60th Birthday year is promising to be a busy one.  Eddie the Eagle, the school’s mascot, has been traveling around the US visiting other Episcopal schools sharing the news about our school.  Eric Adams, Cooper’s dad, has built the school a beautiful piece of furniture with the numeral 60 in the center.  We are using it  as a background for school pictures.  The auction committee is in full swing making ready the auction extravaganza.  The teachers and students will soon be celebrating with various “60” activities.

I want to share with you something special that a friend shared with me several years ago.  It has to do with life changing events and the attitude we have toward them that will determine our future.

I have dreamed many a dream that never came true; but I have had enough dreams come true to make me forever believe in dreams and to keep on dreaming.

I have prayed many a prayer that was never answered; but enough of my prayers have been answered to make me forever believe in prayer and to keep on praying.

I have trusted many a person who has failed me; but I have found enough true friends to make me forever believe in humanity and to keep on praying.

I have fought many a battle that I lost; but I have won enough battles to make me forever believe in the struggle and to keep on fighting.

I have made many a sacrifice that was neither appreciated nor understood; but I have seen enough good results to make me forever believe in sacrifice and to keep on making them. Anonymous

Stay warm,

Thank you,

Kaye Nelson, Head of School

Our cleaning company is looking for some help.  If you know of anyone who might be interested in doing general cleaning for $8.00 an hour, have them call Rose Phillips at 420-7258.
