Community Outreach
The school is involved in many outreach programs during the year.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
We raise money for them by having a “Pennies for Pasta” drive where the students bring in coins to collect for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and each classroom has a contest to see who can bring the most for a class party. We have also had a Pirate and Pixie Ball to raise money for the Society. We invited the community to come and enjoy games, music and fun all to help with finding a cure for this disease.
Walk for Diabetes
Each year we have a Walk for Diabetes to help raise money. This fundraiser is very dear to our school because we have two students who are Type 1 diabetics and we want to do as much as we can to help find a cure.
Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts sponsors a canned food drive each November with the Church. After the cans are collected the Girl Scouts coordinate with the Church to deliver the cans to the Guild of St. George food pantry before the holiday season.
Guild of the Christ Child
This is a donation sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church where our students bring baby items for donation to Chapel were they are blessed and then donated to new parents through the Episcopal Church.
Manor Care Nursing Home
Next door to our school is a nursing home where our students have many opportunities to have fellowship and bring a little joy and happiness to our neighbors.
