Girl Scout News

Troop 756 is off to an awesome start this autumn!  We have thirteen girls from our school and two from other schools in the troop this year.  The girls have already been camping with a weekend trip to the tree houses at Camp EKoWah, where we all completed the low ropes course, did team-building games and a trust fall, worked on badges and Journeys, cooked, performed skits, and generally had fun.

The Scouts will be selling nuts, chocolate, and magazine subscriptions as a fall fund-raiser during the next three weeks.  Please support them!  :)

This fall the troop will be working on the environmental awareness Journey programs.  Cadettes will be earning the Camping, Oklahoma History, Fitness to Fashion, and Forensics badges.  Cadettes will also earn the “retro” original 1963 Hospitality badge, since this is our 100th anniversary year of Scouting in the USA!  Juniors will be earning the Camping, Outdoor Cook, Babysitting, and Bird Watching badges.  Brownies will be earning the Ready to Camp, Girl Scout Ways badges.  We have camping/outdoor trips planned to northwest Oklahoma, Stillwater, and winter camps planned for Newalla and in western Oklahoma county!

Any girl who is interested in joining Troop 756 should contact Raegan Rethard, Middle School teacher.
